Community Recipe Guide
Helping our community turn pantry ingredients into delicious, nutritious meals—one recipe at a time.
What We Do
Create Recipes
We develop simple, healthy, and affordable recipes based on the ingredients found in local food packages, making cooking accessible for everyone.
Fight Food Insecurity
We help families and seniors get the most out of their food packages by offering guidance, tips, and meal ideas that stretch resources and increase confidence in the kitchen.
Reduce Waste
We show people how to use every ingredient effectively—through smart substitutions, storage tips, and creative meal options—so nothing goes unused.
About Us
Community Recipe Guide is a student-led initiative founded by Solon High School student Matthew Kim, dedicated to helping food-package recipients make the most of the ingredients they receive. Inspired by volunteer work at local food pantries and conversations with seniors in the community, we created this resource to make cooking easier, healthier, and more enjoyable for everyone. Our mission is simple: reduce waste, boost confidence in the kitchen, and support our neighbors through practical, accessible recipes.
